How it works
The rules.
Flonflon is a weekly music game where friends submit and listen to music.
A flon is a select group of players. You can join as many flons as you want.
Post tracks your friends will love or that will surprise them. That’s the whole game.
Everything below is details.
The week
Scoring
| Ballot position | Points |
|---|---|
| 1st pick | 10 |
| 2nd pick | 5 |
| 3rd pick | 3 |
These are the standard points. The Z retains its legacy scoring of 12, 8 and 5. Historical results are unchanged.
If you play but don’t vote or if your vote is incomplete, your own score gets halved.
Win a week and you can post a bonus second track the next one: twice the chance to win again, with no penalty if you keep just your first drop. Your final ranking will be based on the best scoring track.
If there are only 3 players, you only make a top 2. And you can’t play if you’re only 2 players.

Performance, adjusted by at most ±10% twice
- Performance
-
For every week you play, your points are divided by the maximum you could have earned: the top ballot value multiplied by the number of other eligible voters. Your performance is the average of those weekly percentages.
avg(points / weekly maximum) - Attendance coefficient
-
Weeks played against eligible weeks since you joined. Attendance of 50% is neutral; the coefficient ranges from
×0.90to×1.10. Personal-pause weeks do not count against you. - Seniority coefficient
-
Eligible weeks since you joined, reaching full seniority after 52 weeks. The coefficient grows from
×0.90to×1.10.
The final formula is 100 × performance × attendance coefficient × seniority coefficient. In a seasonal or yearly table, performance follows the selected period while attendance and seniority keep your full history in that flon. The global index on your home averages your current season’s flon indices by weeks played.
Taste affinities
Your taste match compares completed ballots from revealed weeks you played together, across every shared flon. Shared first picks count most: identical ballots score 100%, while ballots with no tracks in common score 0%.
Seasons
The standings start level four times a year: Winter (January–March), Spring (April–June), Summer (July–September), and Fall (October–December). Old games and all-time stats stay in the history, so a new season is a fresh race, not a reset of the flon.
